Solutions Architect, LATAM

Role Overview

As a Solutions Architect, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers across Latin America, helping them adopt GitLab's DevSecOps platform to improve software delivery and business outcomes. You'll lead the technical aspects of the sales cycle, including discovery, solution design, value stream assessments, proof of concepts, and customer workshops while collaborating closely with Sales and Customer Success teams.

Responsibilities

• Engage with prospects and customers across Latin America to provide technical guidance throughout the pre-sales process.
• Collaborate with Sales Directors and Account Executives to develop technical strategies that drive GitLab adoption.
• Lead technical evaluations, proof of concepts (POCs), proof of value (POVs), workshops, and technical demonstrations.
• Design and deliver technical solutions that address customer requirements and business objectives.
• Build trusted relationships with technical and business stakeholders throughout the customer journey.
• Serve as the technical lead for Customer Success Plans by identifying and mitigating technical risks.
• Share customer feedback and product insights with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.
• Educate customers on DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud technologies, and modern software development practices.
• Conduct Value Stream Assessments to identify opportunities for improving software delivery and increasing GitLab adoption.
• Continuously expand technical expertise through training, certifications, and reusable technical content.

Requirements

• Experience in technical pre-sales, solutions architecture, consulting, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based development environments.
• Ability to design and present technical solutions that address customer requirements.
• Experience running Proof of Concepts (POCs), workshops, and technical evaluations.
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to build long-term customer relationships and advocate for customer success.
• Experience working independently within distributed or remote teams.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously develop technical expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing Value Stream Assessments.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab or similar DevSecOps platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and modern application delivery.
• Experience supporting Enterprise, Mid-Market, or Public Sector customers.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and DevSecOps workflows.
